Skript Part 1: Heavens Tower

While you were stationed in Jeuno, a great tragedy befell us here in Windurst.

I am sure you have heard the stories of Windurst sealing Castle Zvahl with a talisman nearly twenty years ago.
This talisman was placed in the central tower of the Horutoto Ruins and sealed with a powerrrful barrier.
Howeverr, on the night of the last full moon, this barrier was broken and the talisman stolen.
To think that the Yagudo now have the powerrr to null such magic!
Star Sibyl:
Now, Semih Lafihna. We are not certain if the bandits were the Yagudo.

To protect it from theft, the talisman used to seal Castle Zvahl was divided into three pieces and distributed to each of the three ruling nations of Vana'diel.
Checking up on San d'Oria and Bastok's talismans will be our mission. For you, we have another task.

At zee north-eastern tip of zee cursed Beaucedine Glacier, there are zee ruins of a lost city named Fei'Yin.
Long ago een Vana'diel, there existed a civilization as advanced as ours. I believe zat these ruins are from zat civilization.
Zis is what zey called zemselves. We have also discovered similar ruins on zee western continent of Teriggan.
When you think of how long ago zis city was built, eet eez a miracle zat zey are even standing. Eet ees as eef they are being protected by some mysterious force...
Thirty years ago, a group of representatives from zee three countries of Windurst, Bastok, and San d'Oria was sent to Fei'Yin to investigate zee strange power zat lie dormant beneath zee ruins.
However, zee ruins were squirming with ghosts and strange machines. Zee expedition was a failure.
But after zee Great War, zee forces from zee three countries succeeded een ridding the place of all its unwanted inhabitants.
Zee arena located deep within Fei'Yin was zen chosen as zee location for a fourth seal to strengthen zee barrier placed on zee Northlands from zee eenside.
Star Sibyl:

See if the fourth seal that the minister speaks of is still intact.

Skript Part 2: Fei'Yin
Thirty years ago, the three nations--Windurst, Bastok and San d'Oria--sent an expedition to investigate this cursed land.
The Galka swordsman Raogrimm, the Hume monk Cornelia, the Hume warrior Ulrich...
The Elvaan knight Francmage, the Tarutaru white mage Iru-Kuiru, and the Mithra ranger Rabntah were the members of the expedition.
All of them were great heroes of their people. But they had to cut the expedition short when an accident claimed two of their group.
Raogrimm and Cornelia were the ones who died in the accident. The others are said to have suffered violent deaths themselves after their return.
Perhaps they had awakened the curse that was said to be buried in this land... They may have called forth the ancient bane.
The ancient bane...
The Shadow of Darkness--an image of the Shadow Lord--told us...that our kinds were the ones that had awakened him.
That he would spread the bane that will destroy Vana'diel from our cowardice, rage, envy, arrogance, and apathy...
His image?
I see...
"The great bane will devour the fair land of Vana'diel..."
"The ancient seal will be broken, awakening nightmares of ages past."
"The blood of innocents will soak the earth, and the world will fall into fear and despair."

I am delighted at the news of your safe return.
What did you find in Fei'Yin? Was the seal...
I see...
So the seal is no more...
If the beastmen were to lead a force of nether beasts into Windurst, we would be thrust back twenty years.
Semi Lafihna:
Your Holiness! We must stop the revival of the Shadow Lord at all costs! We cannot let historrry repeat itself!
Star Sibyl:
I feel the same way, Semih Lafihna.
Let us call forth the five ministers of Windurst. We need to work together in this time of despair.
You will be summoned when your next mission has been decided.
